# MK Geek Night

I'll be delivering a [5-minute lightning talk](http://mkgeeknight.co.uk/#who) at my hometown's geeky meetup about the MEAN stack and why you should consider giving it a go.

There might still be tickets available, but they went fast. I'm properly excited about this one. Being a Milton Keynes resident, this event hits close to home.

For those who've never heard of [Milton Keynes](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milton_Keynes), two facts:

- MK Dons (the local team) [beat](http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28847955) Manchester United 4-0 just yesterday
- The Formula 1 team, Red Bull, has their [HQ in Milton Keynes](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull_Racing)

And of course, there's the MK Geek Night.
