About
Hi, I'm Tamas.
I've spent 25+ years across software engineering, developer relations, and technical training, working through EMEA and APAC. Most recently I led developer advocacy at a global cloud media company, where I shaped regional DevRel strategy and ran AI workshops and enablement programmes across the region.
Earlier I was principal technical instructor at an enterprise NoSQL database company, briefly led developer advocacy at an open-source AI-workflow platform, and founded an independent training business that's reached tens of thousands of developers globally.
I've spoken at well over 100 technology conferences worldwide on AI, agents, agent harnesses, MCP, web technologies, and developer education. I'm a Google Developer Expert in Web Technologies. I hold an MBA and a BSc in Software Engineering.
Currently available for senior DevRel and AI engineering roles, and for selective consulting engagements.

II. The story
Why AI fluency
I've spent years watching the same pattern play out. A new technology arrives. Everyone gets excited. Vendors make big promises. Organisations buy tools. And then nothing changes, because nobody learned how to actually use them.
AI is different in one important way: it's moving so fast that the gap between early adopters and everyone else is widening by the month. The organisations that build real AI fluency now will have a significant advantage. The ones that wait will spend years catching up.
Helping people actually understand and use these tools is the most valuable thing I can do with 25 years of building and teaching technology.
III. In progress
Artisanal Intelligence
A short book I'm writing for luxury leaders and the technologists who serve them.
The dominant AI framing right now is mass-automation. Scale, speed, efficiency, replacement. For luxury, that framing is poison. Craft, scarcity, judgement, and taste are the assets that let a heritage house charge what it charges.
Artisanal Intelligence reframes AI as an artisan's tool: deployed with restraint, judgement, and taste to amplify craft rather than erase it. Creative assistants that support artisans. Archive digitisation that makes heritage searchable. Demand forecasting that preserves scarcity instead of chasing volume.
More on that when it's closer to ready.
