About
Hi, I'm Tamas.
I've spent 25+ years across software engineering, developer relations, and technical training, working through EMEA and APAC. Most recently I led regional developer advocacy at a cloud media platform, running AI workshops and enablement programmes for engineering teams across the region.
Before that I was a principal technical instructor teaching NoSQL databases to enterprise teams, led developer advocacy at an open-source AI-workflow platform, and built a training business that reached tens of thousands of developers.
I've spoken at well over 100 technology conferences worldwide on AI, agents, agent harnesses, MCP, web technologies, and developer education. I'm a Google Developer Expert in Web Technologies and an ambassador for the Agentic AI Foundation. I hold an MBA and a BSc in Software Engineering.
Currently running the AI Engineering Programme for engineering teams and the Applied AI Programme for business teams, and advising leaders on where AI fits.

The story
Why AI fluency
I've spent years watching the same pattern play out. A new technology arrives. Everyone gets excited. Vendors make big promises. Organisations buy tools. And then nothing changes, because nobody learned how to actually use them.
AI is different in one important way: it's moving so fast that the gap between early adopters and everyone else is widening by the month. The organisations that build real AI fluency now will have a significant advantage. The ones that wait will spend years catching up.
Helping people actually understand and use these tools is the most valuable thing I can do with 25 years of building and teaching technology.
Books
Two books, two audiences
I'm writing for the two groups I spend most of my time with: the engineers building AI, and the luxury houses deciding how to use it.
